Following a film viewing of The Rise of the Planet of the Apes (yes, we waited until it was available to rent on DVD), Anya apparently took it upon herself to draw a gorilla. Which is a type of great apes. I noticed her attempt one day, sprawled on her study table. A colored gorilla. Because the usual is boring, she said.
I gave her this how-to book for Christmas as she enjoys drawing and hopes to be a Tim Burton someday.

I'm not good at it.
Which I think is unfair.
My dad could draw, my husband could draw, second hubby paints, three of my kids can draw, and the grandchildren can all draw.
The gene skipped me altogether.
